Morning Reflections

I finally made it to the pond up past our house this morning.  It is one of my favorite places to explore in the summertime.  I am intrigued because these are the very places we ski by in the wintertime.  The path is the same, but the view is so different.  The plants now cover what the snow did just a few months ago.

Wait, and the view will change.

I am so glad to be reminded of this truth during this week of rest and reflection.  City life is so busy.   And the city  landscape can become static and controlling for me.  I need to embody this sense of calm to bring back to times that are not calm during the rest of the year.  For if I can tap into this moment, the landscape will change, the reflection will be clear, and I will stay in the arms of God.

Peace be with you,
